Clinical Supervision
As a qualified Clinical Supervisor (Level 7) and practising psychotherapist, I offer professional, reflective, and relational supervision for both qualified and trainee counsellors. My approach is grounded in the person-centred philosophy, underpinned by an integrative framework that draws on trauma-informed practice, expressive arts, and relational intelligence.
I see supervision as a collaborative and nurturing space that supports your professional development, enhances your ethical awareness, and helps you stay connected to your authentic therapeutic self. I aim to create a relationship where you can safely explore your client work — both the rewarding and the challenging aspects — with curiosity, compassion, and confidence.
My experience spans over a decade within therapeutic and organisational contexts, including the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), where I practise as a TRiM (Trauma Risk Management) practitioner and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) facilitator. This background gives me a deep understanding of trauma exposure, safeguarding, reflective practice, and the emotional impact of working in high-pressure environments.
I supervise counsellors who work with adults, couples, and young people, and have particular interest in trauma, anxiety, and relational dynamics. Alongside my therapy and supervision training, I also hold a PTLLS teaching qualification, which supports me in recognising and adapting to each supervisee’s preferred learning style. This allows me to provide a flexible, inclusive supervision environment that also considers the needs and strengths of neurodiverse practitioners.
As someone who is dyslexic, I bring both personal understanding and professional sensitivity to supporting different ways of processing, thinking, and learning. I am able to make reasonable adjustments where required to ensure supervision is accessible, comfortable, and effective for every supervisee.
My focus is always on helping supervisees develop their optimum skills and confidence, supporting them to reach their full potential as reflective, ethical, and self-assured therapists. Supervision is not just about oversight — it’s about fostering your growth, resilience, and professional identity.
Supervision sessions are available online, in-person, by telephone, or through home visits (where appropriate). I welcome supervisees from diverse therapeutic orientations and experience levels, and offer both developmental and restorative supervision.
If you’re looking for a supportive, ethically grounded, and reflective supervisory relationship that values your individuality as a practitioner, I’d be delighted to hear from you. I currently have space for new supervisees and offer an initial consultation to explore how we might work together.
